School holiday! Need something to do…… but can not go anywhere? It’s New Year.
Want to see more birds. So…., what can I do?
I will attract more birds in to my home garden. So I can see more from my home without going anywhere.
I will make a bird bath. So I can see the birds when they come for a drink and of course when they are bathing. What a fun! Bird watching from my room. Ok how can I do it?
I can’t ask for money to buy a bird bath. I will have to use something from home.
Oh I have an idea. it’s easy to find an old curd pot (kiri hattiya). Cool, at no cost. And I am recycling something which is going to go to the waste bin.
Where can I place the bird bath? I have to find a location where our cat can’t reach.
If not, not only me but my cat also will do bird watching!
Orange tree near my window is ideal. We can see it well and also away from other trees. So that Cat will find difficult in bird hunting. And there are enough branches for birds to sit and relax after bathing. They will preen their feathers.
I can place the “old curd pot” in between three branches and it will blend with the surrounding too. It is an easy location for me to watch the birds.
I have cleaned the pot and placed it in between the branches. Then I filled it with water. Everything is done. Now it is the game of waiting, till the birds come. Cool….
